Naicks and Gunners..
Native Officers receive 61 cents a day to provide themselves with quarters, fuel and light. This amount may shortly be increased.
5 per cent. of strength. They are provided with quarters and 1/2 ration for wife and 1/4 ration for each child. Furniture and bedding provided.
Native Officers can remit to India all their pay and 1/2 allowances at rate of $44 Rs. 100.

Bavildars and rank and file can remit all their pay and al- lowances at rate of $44 Rs.100.
Allowed once in every 5 years for 6 months on full pay, pas- sage paid both ways by sea and rail to home by Government. 6 months advance of pay on proceeding.

On urgent private affairs allowed when men can be spared to extent of 5 per cent.of strength not to exceed 4 months men pay their own way.
Allowed after 21 years' service or after 15 years' service if invalided from sickness caused by the service or climate. Pensions after 31 years' service are about,

Men discharged under 15 years' service receive gratuities, The following amounts are stopped every month out of the men's pay.
To pay Company cooks 30 cents each month.
To pay for washing 30 cents each month.
To pay Company Barrack Coolies 15 cents each month."
Total stoppages 75 cents each month.
